The 8-day safari and Zanzibar package is the most popular combination for travellers visiting Tanzania for the first time. Seven days on the northern circuit — Tarangire, Lake Manyara, three nights in the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater — followed by a domestic flight from the Serengeti to Zanzibar for a one-night beach stay before the return flight home. It's the complete Tanzania experience: wildlife, wilderness, and the Indian Ocean in a single logical journey. The domestic flight is included in the package price.

Day-by-Day Itinerary — 8-Day Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar

Day 1: Moshi → Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. Afternoon game drive along the river. Overnight inside the park.

Day 2: Tarangire → Lake Manyara National Park
- Lake Manyara NP
Morning game drive in Tarangire, then drive to Lake Manyara. Afternoon game drive: tree-climbing lions, hippo pools, forest elephants, and lakeshore flamingos. Overnight near Lake Manyara.

Day 3: Lake Manyara → Serengeti National Park

Morning departure through the Ngorongoro highlands. Afternoon game drive in the Serengeti Seronera area. Overnight inside the Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti — Full Day (Dawn, Morning & Afternoon)

Full day in the Serengeti — dawn game drive, camp breakfast, then an afternoon drive covering a different zone. Three full game drive sessions in one day. Overnight inside the Serengeti.

Day 5: Serengeti — Second Full Day

A second full Serengeti day exploring different terrain — the kopjes, river corridor, or north depending on season and wildlife reports. Overnight inside the Serengeti.

Day 6: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater
- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early morning departure for Ngorongoro. Full crater game drive: Big Five, black rhino, flamingos. Picnic lunch inside the crater. Overnight at a lodge on the crater rim or near the conservation area.

Day 7: Ngorongoro → Serengeti Airstrip → Zanzibar (by flight)
Morning departure from the Ngorongoro area to the Serengeti Ndabaka or Seronera airstrip. Board your domestic flight to Zanzibar International Airport (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes). Transfer to your beach hotel on the island. Afternoon on the beach. Overnight in Zanzibar.

Day 8: Zanzibar — Beach Day & Departure
A free morning in Zanzibar before your departure flight. Optional excursions (Stone Town, spice farm, Jozani Forest) can be arranged at additional cost. Transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight.
