Overview:
The 4-day safari adds the Serengeti to the Tarangire-Ngorongoro combination, making it a genuine northern circuit experience. With three nights inside national parks, you get a full day each in Tarangire and the Serengeti, plus a full Ngorongoro crater game drive. The Serengeti is Tanzania's most celebrated park — home to the world's largest concentration of predators and the stage for the annual wildebeest migration. This itinerary is the minimum we recommend for first-time visitors who want to include the Serengeti without rushing the experience.

Day-by-Day Itinerary — 4-Day Tanzania Safari: Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro

Day 1: Moshi → Tarangire National Park
- Tarangire NP
Depart Moshi after breakfast. Drive to Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive along the Tarangire River. Overnight at a mid-range tented camp inside the park.

Day 2: Tarangire → Serengeti National Park
- Serengeti NP
Morning game drive in Tarangire before departing for the Serengeti. The drive takes approximately 3–4 hours, passing through the Ngorongoro highlands. Enter the Serengeti through the Naabi Hill gate and begin an afternoon game drive in the central Seronera area — the highest year-round wildlife density in the park, known for resident lion prides and a reliable leopard population. Overnight at a mid-range tented camp inside the Serengeti.

Day 3: Serengeti Full Day — Morning & Afternoon Game Drives

A full day in the Serengeti. Dawn game drive when predators are most active — lions, cheetah, and leopard are all more visible in the first two hours of light. Return to camp for breakfast. Afternoon game drive exploring a different area of the park depending on recent wildlife reports from your guide. The Serengeti's scale rewards time spent in different zones. Overnight inside the park.

Day 4: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater → Moshi
- Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early departure from the Serengeti for Ngorongoro. Descend into the crater for a full morning game drive — Big Five, black rhino, flamingos, and concentrated predator activity. Picnic lunch inside the crater. Ascend and drive back to Moshi, arriving late afternoon.
